STRETCHING, AEROBICS AND EXERCISES

A 50 minute workout with a personal instructor. Synchronise your mind, body and reflexes with a session of stretching, bending and loosening your body. Exercise oxygenates body tissues and improves lymph circulation. Many body tissues derive their nutrients and get rid of their wastes through light exercise/physical activity. YOGA

It is a way of life. An ancient art of righteous living or an integrated system for the cohesive balance of body, mind and inner spirit. The Sanskrit word yoga has many meanings and is derived from the Sanskrit root 'yuj', meaning 'to unite', 'to control'. It is a synergistic synthesis of the physical exercise (asanas), alongwith the union of the mind & breath, as well as connecting to one's inner spirituality. Hatha Yoga is the art of practicing and perfecting the asanas, the holding of poses/postures while learning to control breathing for overall mind-body-spirit wellbeing.

PRANAYAM

PRANA means 'life force' and AYAMA means 'develop'.Pranayama is used to develop, increase and control one's vital force. In Pranayama we use techniques such as Ujjayee, Shitolli, Viloma, Kapaalbhati, Anuloma, Suryabhedna, Bhastrika etc. These processes train to control the vital force of life.

MEDITATION

It is a mental discipline by which one attempts to get beyond the reflexive - thinking mind into a deeper state of relaxation or awareness. Meditation often involves turning attention to a single point of reference/concentration. Different meditative disciplines encompass a wide range of spiritual and psychophysical practices which may emphasize different goals - from achievement of higher state of consciousness to peace of mind and control over ones emotions to greater focus and creativity. Fasting & Detoxification Programme

Fasting with Holistic Therapies, Ayurvedic Massage and Colon Cleansing This programme offers a two-week fast on fruit juices and vegetable broth. It includes holistic therapies with herbs, Ayurvedic massage and colon cleansing. During the programme the participants will partake in the daily ashram schedule.

By combining the practice of yoga and fasting the participants experience transformation not only on the physical level but also on the mental, emotional and spiritual levels. Flower essences, yoga and meditation help this process. As toxins are eliminated a new level of physical, mental and spiritual awareness unfolds. Yoga and meditation are ideal for the spiritual aspirant when purifying through fasting, they are an important aspect of our Fasting and Detoxification Programme. In addition herbs and powders facilitate the removal of toxins from the body. When these poisons are eliminated from our system, negative emotions are also released.
